    Default DMF on a 1.8ls.

    Guy's/Gal's,

What type of clucth does the 1.8 use? Dealer told me dual mass costing at over £330 + V.A.T.....

    Is this true or not?

    I didn't think the prefacelift 1.8's had DMF's

Edit: just looked in the Haynes manual, for the 1.8 it only shows a standard flywheel.

Only shows the 1.9 diesel as having a DMF

1.8's have a normal flywheel so you've no issues there

Not 100% sure on the VVT one but on my system at work I have no listings for DMF's on the 1.8's.
