    Default Steering heavy HELP !

Just had a steering rack put on my car . as the original had play , anyway got the car back and now the steering feels heavy (ish)...not as light as what it was, and also the steering light has come on the dashboard with an exclamation mark .....!..... If the garage have fitted a rack that has stiffens up at speed , can it just be re-programmed via tech 2 .
Or do all Vectras steering stiffen up at speed ?
    Please help me .

Your Veccy C steering will lighten up at low speed, parking etc & firm up (a little) at higher speeds.

Might seem a silly question, but is there enough power steering fluid in the resevoir?

Perhaps the steering angle sensor needs to be calibrated. (I think)Cars with ESP have the steering angle sensor incorporated in the Column Information Module (CIM); cars without ESP have the steering angle sensor as part of the steering rack. If the steering angle sensor hasn't been calibrated then the car probably doesn't know how much power assist to give.

    Just a guess...
