    Default Changing 215/50 to 225/45 on 17s ??

I have looked in my handbook, and the other threads, the 225/45 is cheaper and more choice etc.

But does that refer to another 17 wheel on the vec, and is it safe when it comes to warranty etc??

Mine was in dealers and they noticed I had changed the tyres but they didn't notice they were 225s!!! Listed in handbook as alternative profile so is ok. I informed my insurance company just to be on the safe side and they had to go and check with the underwriters. They noted it but said it would be fine as it is listed in handbook

I doubt they noticed they had changed, they usually only report on what is currently fitted
