Default Mobile Phone In Car Kit.

Hi to all, and I hope someone can help me out.

I have recently purchased a 2005 Vectra C SXi 1.9CDTI, and it is fitted with a CD30 stereo system. I wanted to transfer my Nokia CARk-91 kit across from my Vectra B into my new car, and after doing some research on the internet I figured that the best route to go down was to purchase the Autoleads 06-122B loom to connect directly into the back of the stereo, and make the most of the full telemute facility that the CD30 is capable of (apparently!!!).

Well, I connected the loom and the phone kit up as shown, including the blue switched igniton supply lead to the cigarette lighter, and it will not work correctly. The phone kit powers up and works okay, and I am able to make and receive calls, but it won't mute my stereo and put the sound through the front speakers.

At the moment I have left the Autoleads loom wired in, but have plugged in the speaker that came with the car kit to allow me to use my phone handsfree in the car.

I was just wondering if anyone else had come across any problems like this when installing a phone kit into their Vauxhall and if anyone new of a fix, either quick or otherwise, that I could do to sort this out.

    Cheers, Andy B.

Oh yeah, forgot to say. I am currently using a Nokia E65 with the car kit, and although I never had it set up to mute the stereo in my old car I have never had any issues so far with it all.

I seem to remember reading a post some time ago where a poster had to connect the mute wire manually as the SOT lead didn't have this connected to his CD70 ... if you do a search for Parrot kit you should find a few threads with pin outs for the CD40 & CD70 ... I suspect the CD30 will be the same.

When we used a sot lead in Dave's car there was a loose pink wire, this has to be plugged into one of the spare sockets on the iso plug (trace the yellow wire marked mute) otherwise the centre speaker still works and the h/u doesn't show 'aux in'.

I would agree with ukanalyst, sounds as if the mute lead is not connected.

Email autoleads as they are usually very helpful
