    Default 2.2 idling

Anyone with the 2.2; how smooth do you find the car idles, I don't find mine is particularly smooth as such , having said that it doesn't misfire as it were it's just that you can feel it through the seats if you know what I mean and notice it more after about 10 secs or there abouts after I come to a stop, my last car was a Focus and with that you couldn't feel anything on idle so much so that sometimes I thought it had cut out!! as it was so smooth, other than that these Vectras are quite a joy to drive it has to be said!!

Have you check the idle valve being clean mate?
    Or the plugs?

Good point mate, did plugs, throttle body clean out, air & fuel filter change, but didn't think about the Idle valve as I thought it was purely governed by the ECU on these, so it has got this vlave then?

My car is new and is the same. As you say, it doesn't misfire, you can just feel the odd very minor burble in the tickover

Cheers guys , the more I think about it my old Omega 2.2 I had before the Focus I think was a bit like this, but with the Omega I seem to remember you could see the Tacho needle fluctuating also , whereas on the Vectra needle is well steady.

The Omega was a x22se not the z22se that you have now.

I would agree that the problem is likely to be the throttle body.

Get it off and get it cleaned.
