I would only expect to pay ~£18.6k for that spec/engine, so depending on how close you were to that price it does sound like they were just trying to sting you for some extra money. barstewards.

Paid £15.1 k so looks like we got a good deal

At the end of the day, it doesnt matter which salesman it was, he wouldnt have sold if it if he couldnt, for that price.

Glad you got it sorted out Roger, My parents had a similar experience when they went into our local dealers to buy a new Zaffy, all was ok in the end though, they are just waiting for the car to arrive any day now..
