Default Vectra C 3.2 V6 Elite Aircon problem

Can anybody throw some light on a problem I am having. I had the dreaded water in the drivers footwell problem related to the blocked scuttle drain. Problem now is I cannot get the blower to switch off even when the ignition is off, I have to remove the fuse. Anyway I have just had the Vaux Com on the vehicle and it states "No feedback from blower" so I assume the electronic aircon system has a feedback sensor. The air conditioning system did ramp down when reaching temperature (when it was working correctly that is) so I can only assume there is a sensor somewhere, but I cannot find it. I have read posts about the resister pack fault but I think this just relates to systems that are switched, e.g 1-4 on the switch. Also googled every combination of sensor blower etc but just getting nowhere. Obviously something has water damage somewhere on the aircon system. Anybody help please.

I would have imagined it would be the resistor in the motor control that normally gets wet when the drain is blocked. Anyone else?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Is the sensor not that little black dome at the front of the dashboard, sitting on top of the centre speaker grille?

Thanks guys, will check that out.

Seems that when in automatic mode the blower does ramp up and down but this is related to temperature. When taken out of automatic the blower ramps down to 50% of its speed and doesnt react to the dial, e.g when on zero it is still on. What I cant understand is why it is on with the ignition of. I assume this is because you are able to have the system on residual heating with the ignition off. What I would give for a manual.

The manuals are downloadable from the VX website although I am not sure of the exact location, I do know you need to login to do it - free for anyone to do.

Mine had a problem with the heaters fan speed when I first had it, the vx garage replaced the control module - it had to be tech-2'ed to the car I seem to remember.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The book looked so good I bought it off Amazon.
It has a case study on the Vectra C air con system. Now think its down to the blower motor regulator which is situated under the motor (Great pics in the book)
Anyway stripped it out and found slight water damage inside. So I am sourcing the part tomorrow and pray I am right.
Took some photo,s and I will post them to this thread if I am successfull.

No not yet. However Vauxhall want £200 for mine has you cant buy a regulator for the Auto aircon and have to purchase the whole blower.

You need to check if yours is autoaircon has the vectra c with the 3/4 position switch is a lot easier to fix I believe by replacing a resister in the regulator. There is a thread about it on this site somewhere. Otherwise try ebay search by "vauxhall vectra breaking"

    Hope this helps.
