Default 2 broken exhaust manifold studs.

    as above.

after noticing on sunday morning that i had a broken stud i have just been out to my car to have a closer look and as i removed the heatsheild i noticed another but left it alone. WTF!

this is all i need as we have trax coming up on sunday.

exhaust does not seem to be blowing much at all though.

anyway im waiting to see what the damage will be as i just rang vx up to see about repairing it.

(2 x studs on the first cylinder)

i will keep you all posted.

broken mate, may have to be drilled out. the first one looks awkward as **** to get too. looked in haynes manual and involves removing top hose of the rad and then removing the manifold and cat as they are one peice then you have to try and get a drill in there. just found some drill outs bits on the net for £39 set of 4 which aint too bad.

i dont really wanna mess with anything as i am not a mechanic and i dont wanna miss trax on sunday.

it may have to wait untill next week but we will see. not only that i am on ****** nights this week and some will know this is a pain when trying to get things done.

    aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh! lol lol

have you tryed a local exhaust centre or a thread repairer as some are mobile and could do it where ever your car is

If it isn't blowing i'd leave it until it goes. Are they snapped off level with the head?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
