    Default vectra- problems or common faults?

    After having my CDTI 150 for 18 months, with the car being 2 year old. i have had what i would consider common faults or the typical vx problems.

    1. dashboard memory replaced.
    2. double spring failure at the front (both went within 3 days of each other).
    3. the car is going to vx for a new EGR valve on friday.

    After talking to vx, i was very surprised for the guy to say to me "we have this type of problems with the vectra's all the time".

    has anybody else had these kind of problems?

    I got siggy 1.9 CDTI (150) on o4 plate, had
    new intake manifold
    egr valve
    2 front springs
    now needs swirl acturator

    so think answer is yeah had simler type of probs

    My 2.2 Direct went in to Vx this morning for an apparent 'common problem' - a warning light (with an image of a car with a spanner) came on over the weekend, and the car kept cutting out.

    "we get this all the time" is the response from the Service Centre.

    Hopefully they can sort it (under Network Q warranty), cos it almost killed me when I pulled out onto a major roundabout!!

    Other two, fairly common unfortunately
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Dashboard memory? thats a new one on me?????





    I went into the car one day and had no activity from the dash at all, apart from a warning that a doors was not closed and the engine management light being on. no speedo, temp, diesel, nothing at all.
    So when i put the car into vauxhall, they kept the car for 3 days and told me the car needed a new dash memory. I was told to take the car I.D card as they needed to reset everything. unless he was telling me porkies, thats what the problem was.

    He/they replaced the CIM then
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!
