    H7s for the main headlight.

Do you have full canbus? If you do I would be very wary of retro fitting HIDS

Ah right. My opinion would be go for PIAA Extreme Whites. I had them in my old car and they were very good compared to the original crap. Not even close to HIDS though, but that's obvious

The PIAAs are quite expensive. I think I payed around 70 quid for a pair at the time

LOL You do get what you pay for though.

Having said that I would never go back to non HID again. It's something I will insist on having on every car I buy from now on.

If you have half canbus and can afford it then maybe looking into HID is an option? I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole on full canbus, but some people have had success on half, although there are still reports of some having shutdown issues.

I guess it's just down to what you want

I did look into fitting a HID kit, but after reading the VOSA website, it says its illegal to use them on the roads, unless you have specific headlight units fitted too, robbing gits

Ah, but those units are fitted on the veccy. It's projector headlamps.

There is a grey area over having headlamp washers fitted, but someone dug out a piece once that said they only need to be fitted on factory fit from new. I know several have sailed through MOTs with them
