What a day!

Just a day in the life.... I must add that I didn't go to any of these jobs, but I'm doing a stint in the control room so it was my responsibility to dispatch the appropriate resources to each job and co-ordinate it all...

11 week old baby drowned in a pond, luckily resuscitated by the crew and safely handed over to hospital staff.
Farmer working alone, dragged into his baling machine and killed outright.
Lady fallen from a horse, the horse rolled on top of her and crushed her. Had to be sedated to be treated, then airlifted to hospital.
10 year old child somehow managed to climb onto the roof of the day nursery building he was in and threatened to jump. Luckily talked down by police before anything happened.
2 HGVs in collision, both rolled over, 1 was a tanker of some description. The accident was right outside a pub on the ring road and one of the lorries ended up in the beer garden.

Anyone got a nice quiet office job anywhere?

its jobs like yours that makes me like the fly on the wall programes on TV involving our services.........really brings home what actually happens outside your own little world

my thoughts exactly, poor boy must have a bad little life at home

Some day that mate, i often wonder what the control room operator must think when they initially take the call..at least we get elayed information before we go, they hear it from the horses mouth so to speak
