Default My new car arrived ----DAMAGED

As i had posted yesterday my old car was picked up at 0910 this am amd driven to BCA at Brighouse.

Waited and waited and waited till 3pm still no new car, phoned haulage company UK Vehicle Movements"There's been a bit of a hold up this morning in the compound,it will be with you at 18.00".Sure enough the wagon pulled up with new car on,started to off load car and i noticed the O/S/R door bump strip had been chipped by another door and a crude attempt to touch in,it stands out like a sore thumb.

Now needless to say it was after 18.00 and it's Friday, everyones gone home when needed ,i am totally pi55ed off and F*****g fuming at YWR who saw the chip and decided to make a ham fisted attempt to touch in instead of delaying the delivery and admitting there mistake.

Fired off email to all concerned, not sure of the correct remedy(repaint strip or door),but i want answers ASAP.

Must go and cool off before i get banned for saying something naughty.

Thats terrible for a brand spanking new motor.
The strip can be removed and a new one painted and re-fit.

Shan,do you recon as i don't want, at any cost the door resprayed?plus it will have to go off the road for the repair to be done. Then there's the problem of colour match.
The best of it is i can't drive it till Monday as its 58 and now thats happened i don't really want to,this has taken the shine off it,if it had been a few months old car i could have passed it off

100% sure it can be done. The trim come's off for sure. Get them to buy a new trim and paint it then get it in for them to replace it.
That keeps you on the road no problem.

Its disgusting that they tried to touch it in and not tell you, it would have probably looked better left alone!

As others have said im sure the protection trim comes off and can be supplied as a individual part, i'd want a new one sprayed and then fitted afterwards, that way it saves any potential mishaps with overspray/bad masking if they try and do your one whilst its on the car.
