Default What is this Plug for?

Vec C 56 plate 150. On top of the dash below the windscreen the centre plastic vent grill clips out to reveal a small wire loom with plug on the end protected by a bit of foam to stop it rattling. I think it only consisted of 3 wires.
Any idea what it may have been intended for? Power feed for something maybe?

do you have the sun sensor 'blob' on the top of the dash?....if not it'll be for the sensor....used with climate control...

    or..

was there a speaker under the grille?...if not it could also be the plug for the Bass speaker..

No Blob whatever it is.. grill snaps in flush, and level with normal air vents either side of it.

Just had another look and it is only 2 wires yellow and white, so more likely for a speaker perhaps, (There is no speaker fitted however)

Came across it today when trying to locate rattle from dash, which I can hear if labouring a little in too high a gear.. IYKWIM

Yep think thats it, in cars with the CD70 Navigation system in, a 7th /9th (depending on if you have rear tweeters) speaker goes in the middle of the dash (still flush) to give a spacial effect.
