    Default niosey boot catch

    as above i have just bought an 04 2.2 sri dti hatchback any ideas how to cure it i used to own a saloon (i cant seem to post a pic up of my new car )

    Mine makes a loud clunk when I open it. Garage said it was normal?

    if you mean it rattles, then adjust the catch downwards slightly to make it grip it harder when the boot shuts.. ( two torx bolts hidden under the hard plastic boot panel)..
    if it's the parcel shelf, then check all the rubbers are in place first..

    thats the servo motor driving the lever over to release the latch.. one good hard 'thunk' noise is usual and fine..
