Well as some of you know i have been suffering from a big loss of power under acceleration from the Signum from before the Irmscher trip in April.
Mark GSi 3.2 (The hero as usual) Helped out over a few evenings cleaning and finally replacing the EGR valve and a few other bits, A lot more work than you might think.
And just in case there is anyone out there who has not come across Mark yet - He is a walking angel...
Then Dean - Plasma (The food destroyer) Helped by bringing his Tech2 over and running some live tests while i got the Signum to recreate the problem, Mega success as he found the amount of fuel being requested was not being matched by the amount of fuel being delivered.
So after a trawl through TIS, Thanks to Dean again i stumbled across field remedy 1957. Which in english is the replacement of the control pressure valves on the side of the high pressure fuel pump.
so £550 worth of parts later and i take my Signum to a dealers recommended to me by Mark & Andrew (Ti),
Bellinger's Of Abingdon.
Had a long chat with a gent called Darren (Workshop God) and the car was booked in. Took the opportunity to get the timing belt, Pulley's and tensioner changed along with the water pump as it all had to be removed to get to the fuel pump.
Well one week later and £587.56 worth of labour later and all is not just fixed. But all is absolutely stunning...
So a massive thanks to Mark, Dean & Bellinger's Of Abingdon...
