    Bargain! Lol.

That is crazy. I'm 28, have 6 years no claims bonus, no endorsements and pay £300 full comp for a 2003 3.2V6 GSi. Was thinking about a VXR untill I got a quote and it was well over a grand. Madness. How can a VXR be so much more than a GSi? I can understand that it would be more, but that much?? Come on!

I'd guess your age and the TS20 offence (naughty!) are the biggest factors against you; the SP30 will simply be icing on the cake.

I don't think the quotes are that bad tbh; I've been quoted 4-figure sums in the past for lesser cars, and at an age and experience greater than yours with no points or claims against me.

Ouch. The only advice I can give is to be older.

Had a choice Accept a TS20 (crossing white lines) or CD10 (carless driving) and court HMmmmm think CD10 would have cost more.....BUt ive since learnt my lesson

    Huuummpph.

    No wrinkles here.
    Not much hair left, though

As you get older you do develop a sixth sense that triggers in dodgy situations, even "non fault" ones.

Might be worth trying Direct Line as well.

Just got a quote from confused myself for a laugh, ranged from £672 - £2800 for VXR 2007 . Not too bad eh !

That's an SP30, over 9 years no claims, protected no claims, 20K miles inc 16k business miles !

I'm paying £500 for my 1.8 - if only petrol was cheaper
