    Default random remap question

    Hello,

I am very interested in having my car re-mapped, if i get it done it will by the ones that give you the on/off switch (lmf?).

    Anyway 2 questions:

Does it plug into the ecu, or somewhere in the engine?

If i turn it off and unplug it will Vx be able to tell it was ever on there at a service (does the ECU record some kind of history)?

    Cheers guys, all legends.

    Hi Lewis,
LMF sell the BSR PPC which is a hand held remap unit, it plugs into the OBD port under the ashtray, it takes less than 5 minutes to remap your car, There is no switch as such, when you want to put the car back to standard you plug the PPC back in and revert the car to standard, as you are putting the original map back on the car i doubt VX will ever know its been changed

The BSR (and similar) remaps alter a whole host of settings and parameters which is why it takes 5 minutes to install/remove. Apart from the way in which it transforms the car, the ability to remove and re-install it are it's other big selling points.

Guys, it only took 1 minute 30 seconds to load the BSR map on my car. The results were certainly worth it.

Looking at your profile though you have a 2.2 dti so the BSR (LMF one) wont work or your car. I'm not too sure what is available for your car tbh, have you thought about a box?

I think AndrewTi got his 2.2dti mapped. think he got about 145bhp out of it. Might be completely wrong about the figures but im sure his was mapped.

There are a few boxes for them, VP44? Drinky had his 2.2dti tuned, maybe a pm to him or something?
