    Default Would it sell??

I have had a great idea, Why don't someone make a pollen filter that is an air freshener!! May be someone like magic tree could get involved.
Thinking about emailing them, but not sure if its already available.
I know i could just shove a magic tree on the filter but just not the same.
They should also produce a filter that is antibacterial.
    Just a thought

    The costs would be horrendous!
Fair enough for self DIY replacing the pollen filter is easy enough and the part would probably sell at just a few pounds more than the OE part
However, as a dealership option I can just see ordinary customers refusing the option

Equally, not everyone wants the air freshener smell all the time
Also, typical air freshener life is just three months and that is far less than the service interval for the pollen filter for most drivers
However, I do agree that the pollen filter should be changed annually

I use two Vanilla Magic Trees in the boot, hung from the mountings, and replace them every three months
I quite often have passengers wondering where the smell is coming from as they cannot see them!

I think you can buy an antibacterial pollen filter? or maybe i dreamt this, as i think there were 2 options last time i bought one for my old preface lift.

P.S where is the pollen filter on the facelift? I've had a look and can't seen to see it, the preface lift had it under the rubber trim in the engine bay, put pulling off the same trim on the facelift - i can't seem to find it

Found it! Thanks! Seems i was looking in the wrong place
Yes, those plastic strain clips are very brittle!

Just had a thought and tried it whilst i was looking at it.

    - I took out the filter and tapped out the bits of crap in there and then sprayed it with fabrezze (antibacterial)

Started the car and it already smells nicer. Although all the fresh smell will have probably evaporated by the morning......

    Glad you found it
Its a shame they can't make a filter the same price as a magic tree as you could change it more often. Might try spraying mine tomorrow.

Bad Move IMHO spraying it with Febreze.
