IIRC, as time goes by there are less and less speed detection devices being deployed that use radar. IMO, you're probably more likely to be zapped by means of laser or by numberplate recognition.

You may get a different answer from those based in other parts of the country.

I have to agree, radar detection is on the decrease and laser detection is on the increase
You really need a device that can do both
However, by the time the laser has locked on to you, it's too late!

Road Angel is possibly the best, but nothing will stop you from being zapped by a laser except a jammer...which is illegal

You can stop a laser by having the front of your car covered in reflective material, although I've yet to see anyone try it!
I did a research topic on StarWars which used lasers to destroy ICBMs, then I pointed out that all you had to do was paint all your missiles with highly reflective material, I could have saved the US government millions!

Laser and radar detectors are not YET illegal AFAIK But they will be soon I believe. Laser detectors especially 'built-in' ones are notoriously unreliable, and, as already said, if you detect a laser device, you've probably already been detected anyway.

Ask to have that taken down today mate, it's too educational to the wrong eyes, and I don't mean drivers.

I've used a Road Angel for 2 years now. I get false alarms all the time (every 2 days) But not once has it gone off when approaching a camera van....EVER.
Complete rubbish as a detector but I still use it for my speed display.
