Default £4 of unleaded in a diesel.... big problem?

Obviously just a hypothetical question here chaps....

How much of a problem would £4 of unleaded be ontop of 1/2 a tank of diesel?

When considering your answer please make the following hypothetical assumptions

    1. The driver is a moron
    2. The car has been driven 15 miles
    3. The driver is a moron
    4. The driver has little time
    5. The driver has little mechanical knowledge and is likely to break something if the tank needs to be drained etc.
    6. The driver is a moron

There seems to be conflicting advice on tinternet, either just keep topping it up with diesel and let it work its way through as its such a small amount, or drain the lot, change the filters, drain the lines etc etc and then refill with diesel

Problems arise when you put diesel in a petrol car .
I sold my 2.2 diesel to a mate and the same day he put £25 unleaded in .
I drained it but sure there must of been some still in there but it was ok , so I personally would get a fuel treatmant in there , and keep topping up with diesel.
It might run a bit off key for a few days , but I would chance it , good luck.

Cool I am hoping because its such a small amount it should be ok :/
I do about 70 miles a day so I will just top it up each evening.

My only concern with that, is that will the unleaded float and never mix in?

    P.S you guys are legends!

It's only £4 so not the end of the world, brim the tank every day for the next few days to dilute the petrol and it should be fine.

A mate of mine who works for the Police did the same thing, they had given him a brand new Astra diesel CID car to go on a course in, he went to the petrol station and brimmed it to the top with unleaded - oops

It would be the diesel that would go to the top mate , so the petrol should mix.
Like when you see an oil slick , diesel is heavy oil , more consistency than petrol.
    Don't worry.
