Be careful not to over oil it though, as you might damage the airflow meter.

not to sure about any filter but you said you have a k&n filter in your mods so the kit k&n do is made for their filters hope this helps

As Ed said, use the oil VERY liberally, I cleaned and oiled the filter on my bike, I thought I had only used a tiny amount of oil, untill it started blowing back at me, use the smallest amount possible and allow it to stand for a good 30 mins, you can see if any more is required then
