was up flooring the loft today. up there is a water tank, the water tank is sitting on a sheet of ply board with what looks like plaster board attached.

well i decided to cut the board so i would have a tidier finish for the floor, well you can imagine dust every where no dust mask cant see a ****** thing. mate comes down there now tells me he thinks the board i cut earlier is ASBESTOS

How old is the house? Unlikely to be asbestos in a modernish house but you may want to get someone to check it.

If your that worried mate, bag some up and get it checked out. I wouldn't have thought they would have used that stuff in a 15 year old house though.

more likely fiber cement, looks a bit like asbestos. Takes a long time to kill you anyway so dont worry.

as above mate withn building regs and EN standards , id say your ok , just acheap composite board .... i think it may be MDF thats up there ,, Medium density fibreboard

Vermiculite, as found in ceilings, IIRC has trace asbestos in it as was still around up until a few years ago . Just don't cut it or drill into it as you never know.
