Fuel Light flashing but full tank

been cleaning my car today and i'v had the radio on, went to move the car anth battery was flat so got a jump start of friend car started ok but fuel light is flashing and the gage is not moving, I filled up last night so car has full tank of fuel, can anybody help, is it safe to drive.

Why would it be unsafe if the tank is full and the fuel tank warning light is flashing?
I would suggest you take the car for a short 1 mile drive, then switch off, take the key out, and wait about 5 minutes
Retry and see if the fuel tank sensor resets
If not, then its time to seek the faulty part

thanks for the advice took car for a drive and after 30 miles stopped flashing and starting registering correct fuel level

It seems to happen on quite a lot of modern cars, and it's even happened to me a few times
There is nothing worse than a customer coming in, "I've just filled up, paid money, and my tank is still empty"
Between that and the Vectra drivers struggling to get the nozzle out becasue it has locked in the filler
