    Default Estimates Please!

Just my effin luck, took the missus and the kids out this morning, was coming home...2 streets away from home turning across a busy main road behind a ka and it just stoped dead (some kid ran out in front of him)...i tried my best to avoid him and just clipped him. he didin`t have a mark on his car and my wing is wrecked, bumper looks like something has came throught it from the inside but not fully and the 2 clips holding the head light are cracked. The best about it is i just put 4 michelin ps2`s on it yesterday and that has took all my money . just lookin some adviceas to what it might cost to get fixed before i ring my insurance (got a £500 access and 4 years no claims)

Wing will repair 100% sure of that...worst case is the clip on the wing friction clip has broke...

£80 for the lamp ( new)
£10 for the wing friction clip
£150 to repair and repaint the wing and blow in the bumper to fade..
£40 for a smart repair to the alloy..

personally i'd pay out and avoid the excess...and the damage to your NCB..

it's only a single skin, down onto a bracket on the slam panel..just two bits of 1.5mm thick steel.. with the bumper off and the lamp out it's an easy repair..any panel shop will take that out without replacing the wing..

Will need a bumper though, closer inspection shows it's deformed around the back of the light recess.

i'd allow +/- £20 on those prices but it should be easy to do it for those prices..

if you take the bumper off yourself this weekend to see if the lamps bottom mount has torn off, you'll know in advance if you need a new one.. they are avaliable for around £60 on ebay so you'll save there....

the wing friction clip is from VX only and dead cheap..

so the rest is just down to the panel shop being realistic..
