Default is the 3.0 cdti engine the best one?

we all know of problems that have affected the 150 and 120 cdti engines and problems with petrol engines but ive never noticed any threads where the 3.0 cdti engine has been problematic, so i was wondering if its the most reliable engine for the vec/signum or have i missed something?

Only if it's a Euro4 and has a tuning box fitted, then the fuel pump protests

Well the water pump and the high pressure fuel valve have both gone on my 3.0 and its only at 48k, but it does seem to be the exception

In terms of reliability, then yes it seems to be very high
However, that may be due to the low number of people that own the Vectra with this engine
Another main issue with this engine is dealership knowledge if something does go wrong, mine is the only one the dealership ever sees and of the three engine problems I have reported they have only managed to fix one which was a failed oil seal, the other two problems have gone unresolved
