    Default Car / engine shaking

Strange issue going on here guys that I hope you can help me with, have some ideas but not sure if i'm barking up the wrong tree; When coming off the throttle when only doing around the 40mph mark ,I'm finding that the car has this slight shaking going on (not felt through steering ,more as if the engine maybe shaking) as If i'm shaking my backside in the seat as it were!! if that makes any sense, seems more noticeable in 4th gear (although can be detected in any gear really) and when the revs are coming down to around the 2,000 rpm area, I'm wondering if it's possibly the throttle body and breathers need a clean out? or maybe the EGR (not sure when this comes into play) also on idle I can feel it missing very slightly although when the air-con is on the idle seems to be ok ! what do you think? it's a Z22SE engine by the way.
    Cheers Pete

Yours is a 1.8vvt and it has a known issue with the DMF. So if it is your flywheel then its covered.

Hi everyone, unfortunately I have a same (Z22SE) engine related shaking problem. It showed up after 275K km (170K mi), so we replaced DMF, whole clutch kit and gearbox (left) side engine mount (because of leaking), but the shaking in 4th-5th gear between 70-80 km/h (40-50 mi/h) speed remaind from right side of the car. We checked all the other engine mounts as well, but those seems in good condition. Ive no more idea, what can cause it. The wheel is out of game, because the shaking presents with winter and summer tyres as well. Every little idea would be appreciated.

Problem solved. If someone is interested, the inner driveshaft CV joint were wobbling on both side (surprisingly the outers are intact). So my mechanic replaced them, now the engine is running smoothly, and no shaking at all.
