    Default 1.8VVT gearbox issue...

... it's not a very important issue, but it's annoying. When I change from neutral to 1st gear it doesn't always engage fully (that's how I feel), so when I'm to change to 2nd gear gearstick sort of kicks me. And then I want to go to 3rd gear, and when I launch it, I can feel it doesn't go smoothly but there is a little resistance and then I can engage 3rd gear. I've noticed it doesn't happen if I change gear very slow and with caution plus I need to push the clatch pedal into the floor. I don't mention engaging reverse gear with car fully stoped, and 8/10 times I can hear grinding...

I understand how gearbox work, gears engaging, etc. as I know machining processes quite well and I 'live from manufacturing'. But appart from all my knowledge, is it OK? Because I can explain to myself why this heppens, but it doesn't make me happy and I don't know if my gearbox is faulty, I can't change gears or it's typical for VX products

    Any suggestions are welcome

The clutch is hydraulic so it might need bleeding, also the gearstick is connected to the box by cables not so they might need adjusting.

You recon this should be covered by warranty?

Should be, but lets face it, you have a problem on a 1 year old car. The 1.8 VVT has a known fault on the duel mass flywheel and VX know about it. Get it booked it, shout the odds if you have to, but they should cover it no matter the problem, unless you are doing 1000's of miles and the clutch has worn as thats not covered. The clutch is easy to bleed though, and it uses the same reservoir as the brakes.

Yep, I'm aware of this... But I thought it 'comes' with shaky clutch pedal that I haven't noticed...

I've got car booked for worn driver's seat lumbard support, a few noises coming from b-pillar cover, brake pedal, etc. Plenty of small jobs, but they seem to refuse some serious works, such as my gearbox issue or rear brakes.
