Default Halfraudsters Live Up To Their Name

Popped into Halfords yesterday to buy a new headlight bulb for my Transit as I'm back on lates next week & it's getting dark.
Picked up a typical H7 I think which was listed. Didn't need extra special fandangle bulb as the back is weighted down and I don't know what a headlight adjuster is so off I wonder to the check out.
I claim it as expenses so couldn't care less what it cost but shelf price was £5.99, I then whip out my trade card and the spotty oik has to put it through again, this time £1.47
What the hell do they buy them for & what sort of mark up are they getting with a rrp of £5.99!!!

Gonna go back and get them to price up some of the better bulbs for the Zafira one day.

Halfords are open when garages etc aren't - so if your bulb goes after 7 and you need it replaced there will be bulbs and someone to change it for you.

Lol, I watched a Halfords employe bend a wiper arm on a VW Golf whilst he tried fitting new blades as he didn't know how to put the arms in the service position.
Also isn't there a little (well, large) black book which lists all the vehicles they won't do any fitting to as there is too much work involved. I had a customer bring his E46 to us as they wouldn't replace the bulb on it

Anyone watch Fifth Gear where it took a Green Flag patrol man 45 minutes to change one headlight bulb on a current-model Renault Megane, due to the poor access to it? Wonder if Halfords would take that on for the £5 or whatever it is they charge for replacing bulbs....

You're 90% right, but I reckon an RAC or AA bloke would have knocked 15 mins off the time it took. Some of these Green Flag blokes are just tow truck drivers operating under a contract with GF.

Anyway, so as not to look like a post-hijacker: What about them Halfords geezers, ay, useless aren't they? lol
