    Default 1.8 Vs 2.2 zorsts

Can anyone confirm or deny compatability between zorsts on the 1.8 and 2.2 petrols? Both LS hatches, same age.

If you want to know if they're the same part, simplest thing is to go into Parts Dept and get the part numbers for both engines - see if they're the same.

If they are different parts, and you want to know if they are compatible, I think it'll be a difficult job to answer definitively - unless anyone knows the specific differences between them!

I would expect they are exactly the same fittings, it's just the internals I'd expect are possibly different. When I bought my new back box recently (for 2.0T), it was the same one as off a 2.2 Direct and a 3.2V6.

If they're different part numbers, I'd say that it's something internal - different baffles etc for power/emissions. What the 'consequence' would be of putting on the 'wrong' one is I don't know. At best, some raised emissions - at worst, loss of power maybe.
