    Default cambelt

    my signum 1.9cdti 150bhp is four years old and done 36000 mile when will my cambelt need changing every other diesel i have owned has been done at 5 years vauxhall did tell me when i bought the car it was 10 year or 100000 mile can any one advise me when to replace it

    thought it was the same as petrol models - 40K/4years, can anyone confirm ?

    100000miles or ten years .thats what i was told .my vetra has 700000 but am doing it next week

    a belt 100K/ten years ? thought that was for chains, tbh not sure if I would keep mine on that long (not that I have a belt!?!)...is that the "standard" these days then?

    100k on a belt that's why am changing mine was in my local vauxhall place to day they have sold one timing belt kit

    Officially it's 100k, not sure about time though, I thought it was 4 yrs tbh.

    VX says 100k but my canbelt tensioner went at 60k and took the top end of the engine out. Done under warranty tho I would not go anymore than 50k now before I change my next one.

    The official service schedule that came with my 1.9CDTi had 100k miles on it for cam belt change. On all receipts that Vx give me now have a 40k mile recommended interval. So I will go somewhere in between (aka 50k - 70k miles)

    Main VX dealers Bicknals in Worcester also said it was 100K miles for the cam belt change on my 56 150. My next big service is the 40k one (currently only 31k) and I asked them specifically about changing the bits at 40k and they were adamant there was no need before 100k.
    What does one do eh.... LOL I note yours had only done 60k how old is the car? I'm thinking that age is as much a factor as the milage perhaps.
