    rolleyes New Wheels...

Sorry to ask what seems like a silly question, thatís probably been asked and answered hundreds of times...

If I wanna put 19" wheels on my vec do I have to do anything other than swap them over?! I read somewhere I'd need to "tech 2" them in... But I dunno what this means! Or does the car know when the wheel size has changed and adjust speedo accordingly?

Also, does anyone know if 19" looks any good without lowering suspension?

    Thanks in advance...

wheels are a straight swap m8, and tech2 is to read the ecu's on your car for when you get faults

You will need to get it Tech2 to tell the car it now has bigger wheels.
    If i remember correct.
    Setting 1 is for 16" 17" wheels
    Setting 2 is for 18" 19" wheels
setting 3 is for 20" wheels.

This just sets your speedo up to the correct wheels size.

    Close, Shan...

    Setting 1 for 16"
    Setting 2 for 17",18",19"
    Setting 3 for 20"

So, in answer to the OP - if you've already got 17's fitted then the 19's will just bolt straight on. If you've got 16's fitted now, 19's will make your speedo read slightly out - only slightly though, at 70mph you'll be doing 1mph more than indicated

But the other question - IMO fitting alloys without lowering is the car styling equivalent of wearing sandals with white socks... NOOOOOOOOOOO!
