    Default Wheel Refurbing

I am soon going to attempt to refurb my wheels are their previous owner must of been a woman. I have kept good care of them since owning but they are still a state. i have found the colours i want and am going to keep to the same colour scheme. I will use Black sapphire and a metallic silver (chrome like for shine and reflective high polish look) but i dont know about metal primers. Can anyone give any tips on wheel refurbs and also primers and fillers.

    Thanks in advance
    Dan

Best using a metallic filler and very fine wet & dry, about 1000 - 1200 grade. I find Fords stardust silver about the best colour match to vx std wheels and a nice metallic finish. The filling and rubbing down is the hardest bit, use plenty of water and just keep an rubbing until super smooth or as soon as you prime them you will see all the imperfections and have to rub down again. Take your time spraying and do the back as well. Don't forget to finish off with a few coats of clear lacquer to get a good shine and make cleaning easy. Any primer will do, I use a grey primer.Make sure you post some pics, heres a set of Momo's I did a couple of years ago, and maybe an old VX twinblade if I can find a pic. [/IMG]
