Default Spring Compressors - Any Advice?

I need a set of spring compressors and was wondering if you have any recommendations on what ones to buy?

I'm after the proper hook ones like this....

    Will 220m length do it?

    Thanks

Even better if you don't have to pay the £5 P&P and have a store near you.

250mm is more than enough, Sometimes with the longer ones, The threaded bolts foul the top of the inner wing whilst your compressing the springs with the shocker fitted, Stopping you achieving a full compression.

you take out the shock off the hub and undo the 3 bolts under the bonnet first then you use the spring clamps

Ahh. Not always the case !! On some cars the shock extends to far when not under any load & you cannot remove the whole assembly, Even when un-bolted Etc. So you have to clamp 1st

This has been the case on quite a few vehicles i have done, Although it is down to the design of the Strut Etc, Some have the mounting bracket further up the leg & not at the base ETc.

    Cheers
