Which canbus do I have

Hi Guys,

I have a vectra c 2005

It had a CD30 with the standard two line display, I have upgraded this with another CD30 with the larger display.

It all works well via the controls on the front of the CD30 unit.
This was with out tech2 (must be one of the lucky ones)

I was planning to upgrade the wheel, as currently there are no controls on it. What are the chances of having the wiring behind the airbag

If I have to remove the airbag can you tell which canbus by looking at the conections?

Full mate. The CD30 is full.

Full-canbus I think, certainly so if yours is a facelift. Pre-facelifts., like mine, with the earlier audio units like the CDR2005 and CDC2006 are half-canbus.

Easiest way to tell is to look at the steering wheel.

4 buttons and 2 scroll wheels = full canbus
6 buttons = half canbus

EDIT: just seen your note that your wheel has no controls on it. I thought all of them did?

Will it hav the wiring under the airbag for the wheel controls ?

And which controls will work

1) the 6 button
2) the one with the extra small wheels things

Dave as I said in 1st post

john_k_sri and rushy both say its the full canbus

so the question is will the wiring be there for the controls?

I now know I need the 4 buttons and 2 scroll wheels = full canbus

Seems odd having no controls on the wheel, as Big Dave says it should have them as standard ?

Never known a Veccy NOT to have steering wheel controls.

What model is it m8

EDIT: Just checked your profile and see you have the billy basic BREEZE model

That could explain things but you might have the wiring in the wheel though.
Only way is to get the airbag out and have a look

I will take a photo 4 u guys if you want.

But if they are there I must be totally blind.

Could it be because its a breeze (model)

Looks like I am going to have to take the airbag out to check for the wiring
