sympathies for the hard of hearing

As you may know my wife is from Latvia, Well her daughter has come to stay with us for the weekend, she has brought a very good war film with her loads of action "etc"...........But it is in Russian, so I can not understand many words that they say,just watch the action.It came to mind though, the thought for the hard of hearing or even the deaf how much they must be missing,We all have a good laugh on the site, But how much do we take for granted............our health, I am one who takes my health for granted, it makes you think though, I watched my mom lose her sight and my dad have to look after her for about 15 years, when you get older life become more and more precious.... food for thought!

Very true mate. On a flight back from Florida after a business trip I caught and ear infection, eye infection and throat infection in one go. Could hardly hear a thing for days and it REALLY hit home. Soon as I was recovered I made a donation to a charity that helps the hard of hearing.
