    Default Passenger door switches

Just a quick question ; there are 2x switches on the passengers door, one with symbol of a car door (believe this is for central locking) and the other is boot opening , however when I press either of these all I get is a beep sound and nothing else happens, any ideas guys?

When you press the boot opening, it should "unlock" the boot, allowing you to open it, have you tried to open the boot after pressing the boot open button in the door??

    AS ABOVE
The 'beep' is to let you know the boot is now unlocked and you can now open it. you will not hear the 'beep' if the car is moving HTH

just tried the switches again and the central locking ones working now!! but the boot one on the passenger side still beeped so pressed the one on the driver's side and that also beeped, however started the car and found the boot unlocked, so one of the switches must have unlocked it!! anyway run out of time fiddling with it now, so will have another play around some other time, just wonder what that beeping sound signifies?

Must have just sent my previous post as you sent yours, so thanks for that at least I now know what the beeping sound means.

On my old elite (04) had this - It had auto locking boot. If the car moved off the boot would lock. When stopped you had to press the button to gain access to it. I believe it was to stop undesireables from opening your boot when parked at traffic lights etc
