    Default brake noise

have some issues with car at minute took it back to be told they arent warranty covered anyway i left a note with what i thought apart from the obvious was up as i get a noise when slowing from speedlike brakes are catching rumbling. garage looked at it and said nothing wrong now i aint stupid and i know noise is there as passenger heard it as well only had car over 2 month and surely mot would have sussed any dodgy parts i am thinking of handing car to vosa so they can check it as the garage that sold me car is joined on to mot garage so prob something to do with them and i dont like being taken for a mug so instead of me usual route of battering them i want to do it the proper way do you think vosa would check the whole car for me and any ideas what it could be just seems to do it at speed like i say

Blimey fella - full stops and commas are just above the space bar

Is your car still in warranty? Can you take it somewhere else for a second opinion?

Sounds like it is a third party warranty, and they usually only cover major vehicle components

However, if it is still under original warranty (up to 3 years / 80K miles) then the original brake pads and discs are covered
I have argued this on both of my Vectras, and on each had the rear brake discs replaced FOC
The life of rear discs doesn't seem to be much above 35K miles, after the first claim they seem to work fine

Registered in Nov 04, makes it a 05MY, that might be the confusion

This vehicle is no longer under original warranty, expired October 2007

Wilf knows that. he's said that in previous post if you'd read them....

Brake noise isn't a 'fail' at an MOT test.. as long as the brakes don't bind on and aren't making metal to metal contact, and make the reqiured braking force they are a 'pass'.. Taking the car to VOSA will get you nowwhere..

As you have had the car for just 2 months, i'd return it to the garage you bought it from under you 3 months 'consumer warranty' that all traders HAVE to give you by consumer law..ask them to sort it....

Reread posts above, no mention of original warranty other than "haha has a warranty"
Just wanted to check if OE warranty still applied
