not had it done but i live bout 3 miles from Regal and have looked into it, you will only get 12 to 15 BHP for £350. not worth it in my opinion..

Thats sounds ok to me, the Direct engine is pretty hard to tune compared to the earlier 2.2se engine. Something I have thought about also.
    Good luck Sean.

I think a remap is only worth it for the turbo guys. I would upgrade the brakes and suspension so you can brake later and carry the speed through the corners.

In power terms (on paper) yes, but bear in mind that standard 2.0T's tend to put out close on 180bhp rather than the published 173bhp.

But in terms of torque and mid-range performance, where the 2.0T excels, you would lag some way behind.

Wouldn't do any harm but any power gains would be minimal but it would look better and sound 'meatier'. As already says, for reasons I don't begin to understand remaps appear to be better suited to turbo-charged cars, and with a naturally aspirated car you would get 'less bang for your buck' than if you had a turbo.

Having said that anything that improves the appearance or performance of your motor has to be a good thing.
