    Default Anodised metal

How would I remove the anodised coating? Heat or just plane old elbow grease.

I used to work in this industry many moons ago(anodising and metal plating) and the only way it could be completely removed was a good old dip in hydrocholric acid if you've got any lying about anywhere.

try taking it to an anodisers and asking them if they will strip it... it never removes 100% of the anodising as it etches itself into the metals, surface not just sits on top..then it's out with elbow grease as the surface will still be relatively hard..

Decided to spray it up. Its not smooth, its looks like it has been milled in a lathe so has loads of ridged all the way round. Cheers for the advice guys.
