    Default Info' display

Maybe a silly question, the display colours on my info' display are black letters on an orange background, (not seen this on any others!!) is there a way to change colours etc?

Yes you can, you've got the menu set to the daytime option need to change it to the nightime setting for orange letters on black background. might be a case of rtfm as I can't remember how to change the setting now, think there was a menu option in the trip computer possibly??

Since you mention the display, why on earth did Vx use ORANGE backlighting on the display, when the dash lights are YELLOW???

It looks SOOOO wrong IMO, that I have changed mine to the same colour as the dash illumination now

God knows mate, I suppose they felt like being a little ambitious one day, when you say you've 'changed it to the same colour as the dash illumination' what exactly have you done?

Basically, I removed the display and removed the bulbs (easy as they are bayonet fittings).

I had some yellow LED's left over from my interior lighting project, which have a domed head (like a standard LED), but the base is larger than standard and square.

This meant that the leds wouldn't fall through the holes where the bulbs had been, but they were in the right position. I simply used a large wedge of Blu-Tac on the back of them to support them and hold them in position.

It sounds like a bit of a lash up, but it looks factory when its all back together, and I can put it back to standard in about 10 minutes flat!!

You will need to find switched power for it - I used the switched input to the stereo, which was fine as the LED's came with in-line resistors fitted so that 12volts wont blow them.

    Cheers,
    Simon.
