2.2 DTI SRi MPG?

Ive searched the net and the forum, but what kinda mileage can i expect from my new vectra, 2.2 Sri, DTI, regular services 28k on clock, 03 plate.

Plus, is there anything you can do to assist in more MPG? as i have said i have never driven a diesel really aprt from at work, but the fuel level doesnt bother me there. I have heard a few tips such as get into he highest gear possible?

One hting i heard on a Vectra B forum, they put a small amount of acetone in their petrol cars to increase MPG, so was wondering if theres anything like this too? for diesels?

I'd estimate between 35 and 40mpg
Best efficiency is by keeping low revs, change up gear at about 2000rpm

no thats far too low.....

I got a 2.2 dti sxi with 96k on the clock and i get anything between 505 - 562 miles before the red light comnes on.

normally about 57lts to fill from red light....

I drive a lot at 60 plus, the best thing I have found is to change from 3rd to 5th when you get to about 40-45mph. it made a big difference.

the engine has enough torque to pull it, I also use the cruise control a lot - stops you giving it too much

I can say -

its quicker than a 1.6 new shape astra
its quicker than a 1.9 120 cdti vectra
but slower than a VXR astra..........

thats my exp. so far...........lol
