Talking Just done a cam belt and full service on my own!!!

Well - just done my first service on a 'modern' car! Very surprised how easy it was, there's loads of room for the cam belt change etc.

Shes just ticked over 100,000 miles so figured would be a good idea to do. I changed - fan belt, cam belt, water pump, engine oil and filter, air filter plus air con filter, fuel filter, brake pads all round and brake fluid. Took my time, didn't rush and had it all done inside 5 hours. Whilst at it i did usual visuals etc so well chuffed with my efforts - as i said before, very surprised at how easy it was.

Very well done me - would be interesting to know how much i saved on labour etc.

Nothing but respect for anyone who's got the knowledge and skill to do anything like that.

I'm getting braver - I'd happily tackle brake pads now, maybe one day I'll manage my own service...

Well done, did you change the tensioners as well as the cambelt? Assume you got a full kit so they would be included. Think you have more than saved enough money for a few mods

Great Job, It always feels good when you save yourself a few pounds & you know the Job has been done well, I find there is nothing more annoying to pay someone to do a job & then to find out, you have to rectify yourself anyhow

People taking pride in their work is Slim & next to None !!!

Proper Job, as we say down this way.

Would do a service on my own, but would think twice on the cambelt.

    Well Done
