Vectra 1.9 CDTI SRI Nav Misfire??

Hi there,

Just driving into work this morning and seemingly from nowhere a car with a spanner light appears on my dash and the engine starts to jerk and I experienced a loss of drive. This was at around 40 mph in 4th gear doing around 2000 rpm.

The light goes on and off and the engine shudders when it goes over 2000rpm or when I try to accelerate in too low a gear.

The car runs perfectly in idle or if I change into next gear before going over 2000rpm...

I have booked it into a garage tomorrow morning.

Can anyone here offer me some wisdom ahead of this to give me some ideas as to what the problem is, if its a known issue with this model, and how much it is likely to cost to repain in parts and labour?

as per your other post, it does sound like it could be the swirl valves... if it was the faulty injector wiring issue then it would run on 3 cylinders at idle..not just at 2000 rpm..
