At least it seems there's nothing major wrong otherwise it wouldnt be working now.
I would not mention the box either, maybe the injector is faulty, if they find you have run a box, the warranty will definitely be void as the box affects that part.

totally agree with you bud.Originally Posted by ion
I'm not 100% on diesels , but if it were a petrol system, I'd say it's either a software glitch, akin to duncan's turbo prob's, or the injector failed internally giving the ECU a 'open curcuit' signal that then shunted the car into limp home to protect the cat from possible poisioning from any un-burnt diesel. They should have been able to put a meter accross the injector to see as if the internal coil is okay. They prob want the car longer to send the injector off for testing. if they do replace it it'll only prob be one, not all.
Cheers Mark, that makes a lot of sense to me bud.Originally Posted by Gsi3.2
The car is running perfectly again this morning, but It's still going into Pentagon Vauxhall next week to have this checked over.
Just an easy idea that I used to do on my old 1.7 DTI Astra Van Alex, the diesel injector cleaner used to help it immensely. But injector faults can be raised with the duty cycle being too high as well which could mean it is blocked.
But if it comes up with open circuit it sounds like a break in the wiring somewhere but it could also be the coil inside (As GSI3.2 says) breaking down.
Hope you get it sorted.
BTW it wouldn't surprise me if Vauxhall read forums for warranty information so just be wary.

I know first hand that Vauxhall do read these forums. Vectra C is one that is looked at from time to time.
But Alex, am I right in thinking you bought your Vectra used? If so, if the wiring issue comes up, simply state it was how you bought it.
The reason your car runs fine now is because they have deleted the fault codes.
I hope it is nothing to do with the tuning box's, but it does seem a coincidence that myself, Alex and John (CDTi) have had a few problems and all of us have used box's.
How do you know that Matt?Originally Posted by Matt
I know what your saying mate. My local Vx garage are going to have a good look at this next week. They know me personally (if you see what I mean).
