    Default Rear Interior Lights

    Gents

I have just purchased a 2003 2.0 DTI LS Estate.
I need to have the rear boot lid open for long periods of time and therefore need to be able to switch off the rear interior lights.

On my previous Astras and Veccys I have fitted an on/off switch between the push in switch and the light. However I cannot locate the switch on this model.

Does anyone know where it is located or how the switch works???

Would it be easier to fit individual switches to each light???

If anyone has done this previously I would be keen to know how they did it.
    Many thanks
    Micknal

IIRC all the interior lights power off after about 10 minutes to stop battery drain.

Just had boot lid open for 35 minutes without touching any other doors and lights have stayed on. Also noticed that the central reading light was on.
All lights went out when boot lid shut.

Interior light switches off after approx 20 mins according to pre-facelift User Manual, as do what it describes as 'some other consumers'. Radio after 1 hour.
