your radio may not need a code.. does your steering wheel have scroll whells or 3 buttons each side of the steering wheel? if 3 buttons then it is indeed coded as you say, if its got a scroll wheel either side then it should have been tech2'd out of the car.

ah just re-read, your old dti would have been coded, but cant be fitted into a full canbus car so the rule above still applies..

Get the code from VX, they will be able to supply it for a small fee.

    CDR2005 is a CODED radio/cd unit, wherever it's fitted.

Thing is though that the code on these can be turned off so that it doesn't request it after a power interruption. (providing you know the right code in the first place)

The radio code will be on your "car pass" in your black folder with the manuals in it. If you don't have this you can get a new one ordered from any Vauxhall dealer (had to order one for one of my Veccy's recently), the dealer I went to charged £15 for the priviledge which is a damn con, but it gets you the genuine pass again with all the right codes for your car.

But it's not advisable to leave it in there. Store it along with your V5 log book and MOT certs indoors somewhere.
