...is this stuff??!!
Noticed it on the car when I was putting out some rubbish. Seems gooey, but going hard maybe?
I don't want to touch it anymore, it's yucky! Might have to go down the jet wash.

I'd jet wash that off straight away. It could damage the lacquer / paint!!!
What have those gulls been eating!

I've not driven the car since Tuesday, so it's already been there 2 days!
At least the sun's not been shining. That, baked on, could have been a real problem.

OMG the martians have landed...they're gonna take over the world starting with disolving all Vectras with grey slime...
It's frogspawn mate, I had it on one of my previous cars, it's a right pain to get off and it can take the laquer off if you let it dry.
You have to peel it off carefully with you fingers (yucky I know) whilst dousing it with water otherwise it just spreads.
I used some bug and tar remover to get off the residue, you just have to be very careful.
HTH.
Looks like some 40 a day neighbour been coughing-up near you!!!
Watch how you take it off!! it could be silicon sealant. I would gently peel away as much as possible and using car shampoo, gently rub an area that is not easily seen and try a test rub at this area. If ok do the rest, but wash the whole wing (or car) to remove any residual goomph that is left. Good luck.
Maybe its 'car love juice', that megane must've got a bit over excited being parked next to such a cracking looker...
Well spotted! That was a mate's courtesy car. His Astra is in the shop after a council worker reversed his flat bed Transit into it.Originally Posted by JCB
I still have absolutely no idea what that was, but it took ages to get it off. We get a few crop circles in Wiltshire and I reckon I must have tagged one of the bu99ers responsible whilst hacking along the A36!
Nothing I had in the garage would shift it, so I had to resort to the kitchen cupboard. The Cillit Bang was on standby, but Sainsbury's window cleaner and a few sheets of Bounty came to the rescue!
