    Default Wtf...

    ...is this stuff??!!

Noticed it on the car when I was putting out some rubbish. Seems gooey, but going hard maybe?

I don't want to touch it anymore, it's yucky! Might have to go down the jet wash.

I'd jet wash that off straight away. It could damage the lacquer / paint!!!

What have those gulls been eating!

I've not driven the car since Tuesday, so it's already been there 2 days!

At least the sun's not been shining. That, baked on, could have been a real problem.

It's frogspawn mate, I had it on one of my previous cars, it's a right pain to get off and it can take the laquer off if you let it dry.

You have to peel it off carefully with you fingers (yucky I know) whilst dousing it with water otherwise it just spreads.

I used some bug and tar remover to get off the residue, you just have to be very careful.

    HTH.

Watch how you take it off!! it could be silicon sealant. I would gently peel away as much as possible and using car shampoo, gently rub an area that is not easily seen and try a test rub at this area. If ok do the rest, but wash the whole wing (or car) to remove any residual goomph that is left. Good luck.

I still have absolutely no idea what that was, but it took ages to get it off. We get a few crop circles in Wiltshire and I reckon I must have tagged one of the bu99ers responsible whilst hacking along the A36!

Nothing I had in the garage would shift it, so I had to resort to the kitchen cupboard. The Cillit Bang was on standby, but Sainsbury's window cleaner and a few sheets of Bounty came to the rescue!
