    Default engine bouncy

    Hi All.

Here is a problem with my 05 1.8 vectra. When I am slowing down at roundabouts the engine lunges forward just before I change gear its like something is bliping the throttle open just before I change gear also if I am driving normally and take my foot off the gas the engine bounces. if I am stuck in traffic and I am on and off the gas its hell as the engine bounces every time the foot is lifted off the gas. HELP !!!

At what engine rev, does it happen at any rev or at a particular rev.

When I have lifted off and decelerating, the engine kicks at 1100 rpm to remind you you're still in gear and to press clutch etc.

    Default

the one single blip is about 1100 rpm which normly does it when coming to either a junction or roundabout. I now have to dip the clutch well before I would normally so this does not happen. As for the bouncy engine this does this nearly every time I take my foot off the the throttle. The only way I can stop it from bouncing is to release the throttle very slowly and I mean very slowly this stops the bounce.

Sounds as if an engine mount has given up. Mine is also 1.8, the kick at 1100 rpm is normal and feels like the old time, engine rev too low and kicking as it getting jumpy. It's to make you de clutch before engine damage occurs from too low rev and some load on it.
