Default Tesco, Compare This To The Leading Brand...

    ...Ok

As you may be aware i decided i was going to test the tescos car cleaning products seeing as i was so impressed with the wax. So after a month(ish) of letting the car get absolutly filthy I got all the stuff and set to work. For the purpose of the test i have left the windows out as i can never get them to look nice!

Just to clarify absolutly everything used was tescos own brand apart from the aircon bomb (coz they dont do one) and obviously the water.

    So here is everything:

From left to right, top to bottom:

    Carplan Kleen Air
    Dash Shine
    Colour Restorer Polish
    Wash and Wax
    Sponge
    General Car Wipes
    Wheel Cleaner
    Microfibre Cloth
    3x Polishing Cloths
    Tissues
    Foam Uphosltry Cleaner
    Tyre and Bumper Restorer
    Fabric Freshener
    Car Wax
    Bug and Sap Remover

Oh... and a plastic bag for tidying up

And when i say everything, even this is tescos own brand:

So off to work i got, used all the products, i have a wheel brush which i forgot to include in the photo but dont worry, thats Tescos too!

    So here are the results:

Yes a slight smeer, thats my fault not Tescos.

Yes that phone holder is Tescos!

And to finish a decorative shot.

Right, now to sum it all up...

Carplan Kleen Air - Very good easy to use and left a pleasent smell when its finished.
Dash Shine - Excellent stuff, makes all plastic trim on the inside nice an shiney, just remember to rub it in with tissue.
Colour Restorer Polish - Not easy to use, in fact PITA. the reason for this is its very, very dusty. leaves a nice result but once you got it all off, you then need to go over it all again to get the dust off. No i didnt use too much nor too little, done exactly what it says on the bottle.
Wash and Wax - Briliant stuff, easy to use and not too many suds.
Sponge - It was a bit hard but cleaned well and didnt make too many soap suds
General Car Wipes - Nice wasy to use wipes
Wheel Cleaner - Good stuff, gets your wheels nice and clean
Microfibre Cloth - Its a microfibre, their all good
3x Polishing Cloths - Nice soft cloths, i thought they were very good for polishing and the wax
    Tissues - Well... their tissues
Foam Uphosltry Cleaner - Now this made the car nice and clean and was very good on carpets, it says to wipe off with a cloth so i used a dish cloth (yes a tesco one) but you can only really wipe it in.
Tyre and Bumper Restorer - Just like the dash shine but for exterior plastics. Excellent on tyres but not as good as gel but was fantastic for all the plastic trim and under the bonnet.
Fabric Freshener - Nice fresh smell, just like fabreeze
Car Wax - Excellent stuff, same opinion as my last review
Bug and Sap Remover - This stuff isnt too bad, it works but just with a bit of elbow grease.
Plastic Bag - Served its purpose well, irritating when it gets caught in the wind tho...

So after all that, what do you think?

Great write up mate. And the results looks good.
As for the polish leaving dust. Try using less of it
Well can you post how much all this lot cost it would be nice to see.

And a sponge sorry thats a big NO NO mate. You will always get grit in the sponge and just make more amd more swirl marks.
